Our Work

Memory Makers

Who They Are:

Memory Makers is a regular music group for people living with dementia and their
carers.
Sessions take place at the Laidlaw Music Centre and centre around carefully
chosen songs from across the decades, themed activities, and opportunities to share
memories. Music is a powerful way for people living with dementia to connect, express
themselves, and interact with others and our sessions create a supportive, uplifting
space where participants can engage in ways that feel natural and meaningful to them.

volunteers would include helping to set the room up, making refreshments, keeping
registers, helping participants around the building, chatting and socialising and joining
in with the activities.
